Boys Basketball makes buckets at Shawnee Mission West Tournament

Lansing boys varsity and junior varsity basketball competed in the Shawnee Mission West tournament the weekend of January 24th. 


The Lansing Lions varsity record was 2-1, while the JV team lost both of their matchups. 


Sophomore Adam Allen said prior to the game, “ I’m hoping the outcome of this tournament Is a championship.” 


The JV Lions placed 5th Allen, a sophomore junior varsity player. said “overall as a team we did good obviously not getting the outcome we wanted by placing 5th. ‘’


Caden Crawford, a member of the varsity team said,” You have to play well for each other not 


just for yourself or the people you have watching you in the stands.”  


Varsity beat both Shawnee Mission Northwest and Shawnee Mission West. Crawford 


hit four field goals during the tournament. Allen scored an impressive 32 points during the weekend.
