The Lansing Marching Lions went to compete in the Bonner Springs Marching Invitational on Wednesday the 18th of September.

Marching bands, color guards, and drum lines were invited to take part in this event to compete against 8 high schools from around the area. “I think the singing part of the performance was my favorite because everyone can get involved a little more and letting the audience have some fun,” said Freshman color guard member, Lauren Hooser.

The Lansing Marching Lions placed first in their division and first overall. “Playing just the whole chart is pretty fun, it’s the reason we do it. Obviously it’s pretty satisfying when we end and winning it was a pretty good feeling,” said Senior Guitar player, Holden Wooten.

After performing, the band participated in a clinic held by K-State marching staff.
