Lansing, Ks—The beginning of the school year is both nerve-wracking and exciting for everyone, but even more so for those setting foot into LHS for the first time.

Hundreds of freshmen with no prior highschool experience have to rapidly learn the ins and outs of freedom, block schedules, and the tons of homework.

As one freshman who is choosing to stay anonymous said, “It’s hard, especially not seeing my friends as often, but I’m getting used to it, and I’m really excited for some of the clubs.”

Furthermore, Lansing experiences an influx of students from around the country and, oftentimes, around the world. An exchange student said “everything’s bigger in America” and we’re hoping that means better too.
